When i first started going the gym by myself i never took my ipod/mp3 player as i thought it does nothing but distract me from monitoring the progress when training, but around christmas time i received one and now i can't live without it, as it provides such a huge motivation and it helps drown out the voices around me when training in the gym.

What helps you keep motivated when it comes to working out in the gym?
