Why spend time and money going to a gym to get fit, when it’s as easy as getting on your bike? Cycling for short journeys can help you get the exercise you need every day and you hardly need change your routine.

Experts say adults can improve their overall fitness and health with just 30 minutes of moderate exercise (enough to get you warm and slightly out of breath) each day. And that’s as easy as a 15 minute – about two miles each way – cycle ride to and from work every day, to the shops or to visit friends, instead of taking the car. Or for longer journeys, why not cycle part of the way? You’ll find lots more information and advice on keeping fit and healthy by visiting the NHS website.

Mr Olympia 2009

Jay Cutler made Olympia history tonight when he defeated Branch Warren and Dexter Jackson to become the only man to ever regain the title after losing it.

This morning at breakfast and during the 202 showdown judging and at the Expo I asked a few people who they thought should win. Jay Cutler was the overwhelming favorite and he proved that his fans were accurate.

Without a lot of introductory fluff this time. Who do you think should of won this year 2009 Mr Olympia?

Keeping Motivated

When i first started going the gym by myself i never took my ipod/mp3 player as i thought it does nothing but distract me from monitoring the progress when training, but around christmas time i received one and now i can't live without it, as it provides such a huge motivation and it helps drown out the voices around me when training in the gym.

What helps you keep motivated when it comes to working out in the gym?
